In order to get these cutscenes you must be presentable to the royal
family. That includes the following:
- no weapons equipped
- hands, legs, and feet armor equipped (of any kind)
- “appropriate” body armor equipped
That third one is essentially any good-looking piece of armor that
isn’t your AF body. Scorp harness, hauby, nobles tunic, errant, weskit,
v cloak… it’s a long list. Most any armor introduced in the ToAU
expansion works. If you want to be absolutely sure you’ve got something
fitting, ffxiclopedia has a compiled
list of ones that work. That page isn’t sure (as of this writing)
but I am sure that any high-quality version of the armor on that list
is also acceptable.
You get an Imperial Mythril Piece after the CS, so be sure you have
room for it or you’ll have to see the whole thing again.
