12: Royal Puppeteer

The next NPC wants a rare/ex item called a Vial of Jody’s Acid. If you talk to him he’d tell you this, but he’s way the heck over in Nashmau so you’re better off taking my word for it.


Jody’s Acid drops off Ameretats, red molbors that are in Bhaflau Thickets and Wajaom Woodlands. If you’ve been out and about you’ve probably seen them. They’re easy enough for a 75 to solo, but if you’re in one of the weaker soloing jobs, feel free to grab a friend. Jody’s Acid is a common drop but treasure hunter makes it faster. You’ll likely get one in two or three kills unless you have very poor luck.


Once you have the Jody’s Acid, head to Nashmau. The boat is safe, but, if you know your way from the Azouph Isle staging point to Nashmau, taking the staging point is a lot faster.

I should tell you at this point that your next objective is also near Nashmau and it can be difficult to solo. You may want to read about mission 13 before hopping on the boat so you know if you want to bring a friend or two for the fight.

Talk to him once for a cutscene, then trade him the Jody’s Acid for another cutscene and the key item Vial of Spectral Scent.
