Talking to Rytaal let's you begin assault missions, and talking to Naja again gets you some information about your new mog locker. You cannot continue with your cutscenes until japanese midnight (10 AM EST, 11 on daylight savings time) so this is a good time to try an assault or three.

If japanese midnight has not passed yet, Naja berates you about slacking off and won't give you the next cutscene. Just chill for a while. Go level a new job or something.


4: Knight of Gold

Cacaroon gives another quest in addition to this mission cutscene. If you get a cutscene unrelated to the new elvaan NPC in Naja's scene, simply talk to him again without zoning to get back on track.

Cacaroon wants either an imperial bronzepiece. If you refuse him he asks for 1000 gil. You probably have the 1000 gil but this is a good time to start worrying about imperial currency. The currency is an oftenly traded commodity among NPCs around here. Some, like this Cacaroon guy, want some before they'll give you services. Other NPCs reward you with currency when you complete a quest. There are several rather easy quests you can activate at this time to get a bronzepiece. You can also trade 20 Imperial Standing points to an NPC for the bronzepiece. The Aht Urhgan is Different page has info on the currency and Imperial Standing points, and the Aht Urhgan Whitegate Guide can tell you the location of an NPC where you can trade Imperial Standing points for currency.

ToAU is different and somewhat complicated so I'll do little asides like this to explain things whenever necessary. Anyway, pay Cacaroon what he wants to continue on. And yes, if you're wondering, you did pay Cacaroon to look up.

5: Confessions of Royality

Yep, that last cutscene is in San d'Oria. Don't worry, most of the cutscenes are local in whitegate so you won't have to worry about the notorious world traveling found in CoP.

After talking to Halver you're stuck again until japanese midnight. SE really didn't want people doing all the missions on the first day, did they? Head back to exploring for a while.
